Officer Injured As Suspect Rams Police Vehicles In Charlotte ICE Operation High-Speed Chase

CHARLOTTE, NC – A law enforcement officer was injured this afternoon during a chaotic and dangerous high-speed chase near Charlotte’s University City area after a suspect allegedly weaponized his vehicle against police during an operation.

The incident began when law enforcement agents were conducting an operation, and a United States citizen, driving a large van, reportedly drove the vehicle directly at the officers before immediately fleeing the scene.

The suspect initiated a high-speed chase through a densely populated area, repeatedly attempting to ram into law enforcement vehicles and posing a serious public safety threat to both the officers and the surrounding community.

As agents moved to box in the van, the driver deliberately rammed the law enforcement vehicles in a desperate attempt to escape capture.
