NORTH CAROLINA — Two men face drug and weapon charges following a traffic stop in north Charlotte that led to the discovery of firearms and nearly a pound of marijuana, police said.
Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department stopped a vehicle on Nov. 13 in the 900 block of West Sugar Creek Road for a taillight violation. During the stop, both the driver and passenger admitted to having concealed firearms, and neither had a permit to carry them.
A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 386 grams of suspected marijuana, nearly $1,200 in cash, and two firearms…
