CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Defendants Terry Connor Jr. and Steven Staples were found guilty of the murder of Scott Brooks after a few hours of jury deliberations Monday.
The verdict concludes a case that has held the Charlotte community’s attention for years, following the killing of Brooks in December 2019. Jurors started their discussions Monday afternoon for the trial that began Oct. 27.
