(QUEEN CITY NEWS) — School districts in the northern part of the viewing area are changing their schedules Friday ahead of the winter weather expected Thursday night and into the morning.
The following districts will operate on a two-hour delay Dec. 5:
- Ashe County Schools
- Burke County Public Schools
- Caldwell County Schools
- Catawba County Schools
- Hickory City Schools
- Newton-Conover Schools
- Watauga County Schools
Officials with Hickory City Schools noted the delay means that breakfast and lunch will be served at no cost to students on Friday.
Additionally, these districts will be have remote learning days:
- Alexander County Schools
- Avery County Schools
