On Dec. 11, Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 58 near Liberty Church Road after observing a vehicle fail to stop at a posted stop sign.
The vehicle was occupied by four adult males. During the encounter, three passengers attempted to flee on foot. Deputies quickly detained all three subjects without further incident.
