CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A 51-year-old woman who died after being found unresponsive at the Mecklenburg County jail last month died from issues caused by a twisted intestine, according to an autopsy report released by the medical examiner.
Sandi Hill’s death was ruled natural, according to the report from the Mecklenburg County Medical Examiner’s Office. The autopsy found she had volvulus.
Hill also had hepatic fibrosis and suffered resuscitation injuries, including rib fractures when staff attempted lifesaving measures, the report stated…
