Here are the members of the new Mecklenburg County transit board

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The inaugural meeting of the new transit authority created by the passage of the Mecklenburg County transit tax will be held Thursday.

The 27-member Mecklenburg Public Transportation Authority will replace the Metropolitan Transit Commission. It has representatives appointed from all county municipalities, including the county itself, plus from the General Assembly and governor.

Charlotte has the most appointees at 12, with two coming from Mayor Vi Lyles while the Mecklenburg County towns have one each; some have an alternate.
