TROY, N.C. (WGHP) — A part of the Uwharrie Trail is closed due to wildfire on Tuesday, according to the USDA Forest Service and North Carolina Forest Service.
The Uwharrie Trail from the Joe Moffitt Trailhead to the Walkers Creek Trailhead is currently closed as a result of a 10-acre wildfire near King Mountain in the Uwharrie National Forest.
Firefighters are currently at the scene attempting to contain the blaze. People are asked to avoid the area…
