Charlotte man charged after allegedly shooting at car with 6-year-old inside

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A 36-year-old Charlotte man is facing multiple charges after allegedly firing a handgun at a vehicle while a 6-year-old child was inside, according to police documents.

John Robert Stover was arrested Nov. 5 at a residence on Audrey Street and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with a minor present, two counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle, misdemeanor child abuse, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.
