A number of new restaurants opened in Gaston County in 2025, here’s a run down of those new eateries.
The Traveling Sip
Sydney Winter Barnes opened The Traveling Sip mobile coffee shop in 2023 and sold caffeinated beverages all over Gaston County. In 2025, she decided to open a stationary location in a Dallas Storefront. The Traveling Sip, located at 132 N. Gaston St., is open from 6 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday and from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday.
The Banana Bar
In Belmont, this family took their long-time favorite snack public and opened The Banana Bar at 117 S. Main St. The menu includes frozen bananas dipped in chocolate and loaded with toppings. The store is open from noon-7 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon-6 p.m. on Sunday.
