Skip the Aisles: High-Tech Grocery Pick-Up Store Planned for Fort Mill

FORT MILL, S.C. — The grocery landscape along Fort Mill Parkway is set to get a high-tech twist now that town officials have given the green light to a new “drive-thru only” market. Opie, a Mount Pleasant-based company, has secured approval to bring its app-based, eco-conscious grocery model to the Arden Mill development.

The store will be located at 5529 Arden Mill Drive, situated near the community’s entrance and the local fire station.

Town Gives Unanimous Approval

The project cleared a major regulatory hurdle on June 17, 2025, when the Town of Fort Mill Planning Commission voted 5-0to approve the commercial appearance review for the site.
