Governor offers reward for tips leading to the killer of a Gastonia barber

Governor Josh Stein is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for the murder of John Luke Moore, 32.

“We must use every tool at our disposal to pursue justice for victims,” said Governor Josh Stein. “I urge North Carolinians who have information about these cases to contact local law enforcement and help us provide closure to victims’ families.”

On July 26, 2021, Moore was shot and killed during a home invasion on Allison Avenue in Gastonia. Video surveillance shows three masked suspects breaking into the home and fleeing the scene. His killer has never been found…
