CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is mourning the loss of one of their own, who died early Sunday following a medical emergency.
Officer Michael Miles of the Freedom Division passed away unexpectedly after suffering a medical complication. He died at a hospital in Gaston County at the age of 39, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Faternal Order of Police.
