CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Mecklenburg County leaders and community members made their case for reopening the county’s juvenile detention center during a panel discussion on Tuesday night.
Sheriff Garry McFadden hosted the discussion at the Valerie C. Woodard Community Conference Center on Jan. 6 to talk about what it would take to reopen the juvenile detention center, casually referred to as “Jail North.”
