Charlotte man’s yearslong battle over initial $100 HOA fine finally resolved

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – What started as a $100 fine from a homeowners association, or HOA, has turned into a yearslong legal battle for one Charlotte man.

That battle was finally over as of Tuesday, Jan. 13, after Jeffrey Baldwin took his HOA to court, and said this should be a warning to other homeowners across the state.

Baldwin said that in 2022, a $100 fine was assessed against his home for parking what was called a “commercial vehicle” in his driveway in the University area…
