N.C. woman buys a new house, wins $100,000 lottery prize

Jan. 14 (UPI) — A North Carolina woman said her $100,000 prize from a scratch-off lottery ticket arrived at just the right time: she just bought a house.

Charlotte resident Yolanda Black told North Carolina Education Lottery officials she bought a $20 Stacks of Cash ticket from Cigarettes & More on Pineville-Matthews Road in Charlotte shortly after closing on her new home.

The ticket turned out to be a $100,000 winner.

“I jumped for joy,” Black said. “Then I told my husband.”…
