Huntersville man charged after shown on camera firing gun at apartments

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man was charged after being caught on camera firing a gun at a Huntersville apartment complex this week.

According to the Huntersville Police Department, officers responded at around 1 a.m. Jan. 13, to The Landings at Northcross apartments off of Northcross Drive for a shots-fired call. Detectives eventually determine the subject who fired the shots, Vincente Juarez-Barrientos, was a resident of the complex.

On Jan. 14, detectives with the Special Investigations Division executed a search warrant on Juarez-Barrientos’ apartment. Detectives allegedly located a firearm and ammunition matching the casings in the area where he was shown to be shooting.
