Battle to save the ‘American dream’ – homeowner in four year fight over $100 fine for parking on his own driveway

A DRIVER has been embroiled in a dispute with his homeowner’s association in a battle that spanned almost four years.

The vehicle which was parked on the resident’s driveway sparked the dispute, which then escalated.

Jeffrey Baldwin, who lives in a Charlotte, North Carolina, neighborhood, said owning a home was like the “American dream” but he had a fight on his hands, as reported by the CBS affiliate WBTV-TV.

That was because HOA chiefs threatened him with foreclosure and the issue culminated with a battle in the courts…
