After selling for $2 million, the former Cavendish Brewing Company building will soon undergo months of renovations to become Sugar Creek Brewing Company’s headquarter location, complete with a restaurant, small tap room, and full-scale brewing operation, according to part owner Eric Flanigan.

Flanigan, his wife Ashley, and their business partners Lael and Joe Vogelbacher founded Sugar Creek in Charlotte around 2013. Since then, the company has produced beer for retail distribution and welcomed customers in for a pint at its brewery at 215 Southside Dr. in Charlotte.
As the team began its journey in the business, Flanigan said Vogelbacher asked him how they could make world-class beer if they did not know what world-class beer should taste like.
