Duke Energy Warns Customers Ahead of Winter Storm

Duke Energy is asking customers to prepare for the expected winter storm in the Carolinas this weekend. The power company is asking customers to reduce electricity usage on Wednesday as they prepare for the weekend ahead. The storm is expected to bring ice, freezing temperatures, and possibly snow to the region this weekend.

The power company issued “Power Hours” requesting reduced energy use for Wednesday morning and throughout the day. Customers should adjust thermostats to “auto” and take shorter showers.
