CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Freezing temperatures are causing problems around the Charlotte area.
Sunday morning, Jan. 25, a pipe burst inside the Allure at SouthPark apartments on Carnegie Boulevard. Viewer video shared with Queen City News from inside the building shows water flooding parts of the parking garage and spilling into apartment hallways.
Winter Storm Timing
The flooding comes as freezing rain and sleet move back into the area. By about 4 p.m., that icy mix is expected to become more widespread as a cold front pushes through faster than originally expected.
While the good news is the rain should move out by around 8 to 9 p.m., the earlier arrival of the cold front means stronger winds could arrive sooner…
