HIGH COUNTRY, N.C. (WBTV) – A winter storm warning has been issued for several High Country counties as a weekend storm approaches North Carolina.
The warnings take effect at 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, and remain in place until 7 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 1.
As of this writing, Avery, Burke, and Caldwell counties have been issued warnings, while surrounding counties and most of the Charlotte region remain under a winter storm watch.
