CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — During this weekend’s snowstorm, Charlotte firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire that damaged south Charlotte townhomes.
Saturday evening, crews were called to a row of townhomes on the 8000 block of Shore Lane.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they saw smoke and fire coming from the structure’s roof. The fire had extended into the attic through the roof and into nearby trees, prompting a second alarm.
Amid the conflicting reports on occupancy, strong wind gusts, and winter conditions complicating operations, firefighters conducted searches and worked to control the blaze. The flames were brought under control in over an hour…
