FORT MILL, S.C. — The Fort Mill Town Council has approved the purchase of about 50 acres off River Crossing Drive, acquiring the land from Novant Health for $7.8 million as part of the town’s long-term land preservation and parks planning efforts.
Novant Health had previously identified the roughly 50.27-acre site for a proposed Fort Mill hospital. The town said the decision to purchase the property was guided by its Comprehensive Plan, Parks and Recreation Master Plan, and public feedback gathered through surveys and community engagement.
