CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Jay Bakker’s days look a lot different than they did when the PTL ministry was at its peak in the 1980s — and when its collapse thrust his family into the harshest spotlight imaginable.
These days, Bakker is in Seattle, close to his children, balancing odd jobs while he leads the Revolution Church, a ministry he started more than 30 years ago.
