Measles exposure notices issued for Charlotte hospital, Goodwill stores and restaurant

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Mecklenburg County Public Health has issued measles exposure notices for four locations across Charlotte following visits from a confirmed measles case linked to another county.

The affected locations and exposure windows are:

  • Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center, 1000 Blythe Blvd., on Feb. 3 from 6:30-11:30 p.m. and Feb. 4 from 7 p.m. to midnight
  • Goodwill, 5808 University Point Blvd., on Feb. 4 from noon to 3:45 p.m.
  • Goodwill, 3710 W. W.T. Harris Blvd., on Feb. 4 from 2-4:40 p.m.

Public health officials noted that the exposure does not impact Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital. All four locations are now safe to visit and are cooperating with public health officials on the investigation.

The exposures are not linked to any of the three confirmed measles cases currently reported in Mecklenburg County. Public health officials said the notices were issued because exposure contacts from the case investigation could not be identified or reached directly…
