Man accused of killing his “long-time” girlfriend after going to a club together in Charlotte: court documents

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man has been charged after allegedly murdering his “long-time” girlfriend in north Charlotte, according to court documents.

Around 6 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a welfare check call in the 700 block of Lawton Road. When they arrived, they found a woman who had “sustained apparent trauma.”

The woman, 33, has not yet been publicly identified by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

According to the victim’s family, their daughter and her “long-time boyfriend,” 37-year-old Nicholas Gandy, went to a club off North Graham Street in Charlotte. The family says she left in her Honda Accord, and that Gandy returned to her residence in her vehicle after the murder.

Gandy allegedly told the family that she had his vehicle- a gold four-door Lexus sedan with tinted windows. Police said that his vehicle was not with the victim when she was found…
