CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Two repairmen have been sentenced for failing to report more than $1.5 million in income they earned from overcharging elderly customers for services, according to the Department of Justice.
According to plea documents and court hearings, from 2018 to 2021, David Angelo Quick, 43, of Charlotte, and Tony Joshua Christo, 34, formerly of Charlotte, now residing in Florida, provided home repair and improvement services, as well as car repair services, for elderly clients. During this time, they collected over $1.5 million from these customers, but failed to report any of this income on their federal income taxes.
