CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A woman accused of several past robberies has recently been charged after allegedly stealing more than $7,000 worth of merchandise from Lululemon in South End, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
On February 11, officers were contacted by Lululemon regarding a larceny from the Atherton Mill store on South Blvd. After reviewing surveillance footage, officers identified one suspect, 36-year-old Quatoya Morrison.
Detectives found a suspect vehicle and tracked it to northeast Charlotte. CMPD says the suspect got away, but found the stolen merchandise, valued at $7,700.
On February 17, officers found and charged Morrison. She has an “extensive history” of stealing from stores in multiple jurisdictions. CMPD charged her with:
- 4 counts of felony larceny
- 3 counts of felony conspiracy
- 2 counts of habitual larceny
- Larceny by removing, destroying or deactivating a component of an anti-shoplifting or inventory device
- Aiding and abetting
- 2nd-degree trespassing
- Misdemeanor conspiracy
According to court documents, over the last three months, Morrison allegedly stole more than $13,000 worth of merchandise from an Alo in Raleigh, 25 coats worth more than $2,000 from Academy Sports in Raleigh, more than $1,000 worth of fragrance merchandise from Kohl’s in Matthews, and more than $100 worth of shoes from Rack Room Shoes in Matthews…
