CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Officers seized 18 firearms and large quantities of narcotics in connection to the arrest of a man suspected of trafficking fentanyl throughout Mecklenburg County.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, the Vice & Narcotics Unit recently executed a search warrant in the 8700 block of Chalkstone Road after a lengthy investigation. It targeted 33-year-old Raheem Raysean Taylor, who is a convicted felon for a prior robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Upon execution of the search warrant, investigators reportedly seized the following:
- 18 firearms, 2 of which were confirmed stolen
- More than 25 grams of suspected fentanyl
- Approximately 825 grams of suspected cocaine
- Approximately 73 pounds of suspected marijuana
- More than 1,000 grams of suspected MDMA
- Over 240 grams of suspected psilocybin
Taylor arrested Feb. 13 on the following charges:
- Nine counts of Trafficking Fentanyl
- Two counts of Possession of a Stolen Firearm
- Two counts of Trafficking Cocaine
- Trafficking Marijuana
- Trafficking MDMA
- Possession of Firearm by Felon
