Man sentenced for allegedly driving a 16-year-old to rob a bank in Charlotte: DOJ

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man has been sentenced for allegedly using a teenager to rob nearly $20,000 from a bank, according to the Department of Justice.

On February 25, 32-year-old Michael Malik Pringle was sentenced to seven years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence and aiding and abetting.

On May 2, 2024, Pringle picked up a 16-year-old boy in a rented vehicle. According to court documents, Pringle and the minor previously discussed robbing a bank and had agreed to do it on that date.
