Woman accused of cutting dog with knife in Gaston County: Records

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Mount Holly woman is accused of cutting a dog in late February, according to jail and court records.

Arrest warrants state that 23-year-old Anna Marie Farnham reportedly used a knife on Feb. 21 to cut a dog three times in the head and snout, causing serious injury.

She was arrested on March 2 but released the next day after posting a $15,000 secured bond. Farnham is charged with felony cruelty to animals. Her next court appearance is set for late March.
