CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Traffic was backed up for miles after a fatal medical incident closed multiple lanes of Interstate 77 in southwest Charlotte on Monday.
Multiple crews responded to an emergency call near the interchange with Interstate 485 and I-77 around 8:30 a.m. Medic confirmed one person was pronounced dead.
