CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say one man is responsible for three armed bank robberies over two weeks.
Stephen Edward Ford was arrested in connection with the three robberies that happened between February 27 and March 10. According to court records and incident reports, Ford stole over $13,000 in the robberies and allegedly threatened bank workers with weapons during the robberies.
Court records show that Ford stole $7,540 from a Wells Fargo on Park Road on Feb. 27, $1,221 from the Wells Fargo on Tyvola Road on March 5, and $5,300 from Pinnacle Bank at Dalton Avenue on March 10. He used a pistol in the March 5 and March 10 robberies and a knife in the Feb. 27 robbery…
