Convicted felon sentenced for illegal firearm possession

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A convicted felon was sentenced to 70 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for illegal possession of a firearm.

According to filed court documents and the sentencing hearing, Darius DeShawn Countee, of Browns Summit, was previously convicted in North Carolina for Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury and Second Degree Murder.
