Last night on Idlewild Road North turned serious in a hurry when a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in east Charlotte and rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, emergency responders said. The collision, reported in the 5000 block of Idlewild Road North, drew a MEDIC response, and the victim was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
