Driver charged after striking woman, baby in downtown Matthews crosswalk

MATTHEWS, N.C. — A driver has been charged after striking a woman and a baby in a crosswalk in downtown Matthews, according to Matthews Police.

The collision happened at the intersection of West John Street and North Trade Street, where the driver was making a left turn when the pedestrians were hit, police confirmed.
