Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer charged with assault, domestic violence

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer was charged with assault and domestic violence on Thursday, the department said.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said its domestic violence unit got a complaint on Thursday, March 26, about an ongoing domestic situation that had been happening over the previous week.

Everyone involved was interviewed and afterward, a criminal summons was issued against Officer Ryan Clement for assault on a female, and misdemeanor domestic violence…
