Immersive AR exhibit set to open at Charlotte Museum of History for America’s 250th

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Charlotte Museum of history will have a special exhibit to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.

On April 14 the museum will open “American Revolution, the Augmented Exhibition” that aims to immerse visitors into key moments that shaped American democracy.

Interpreters at NC Revolutionary War historic site bring past into the present

Thanks to HistoPad, visitors will use augmented reality to travel back in time between 1767 and 1789 to discover 3-D reconstructions of 15 significant events of the revolution. Along the way, they will explore events such as the Boston Tea Party, the Constitutional Convention, and the Battle of Yorktown, as well as iconic cities and places such as Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Canada and France.
