Two people charged after investigation into cocaine dealers in Monroe

MONROE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Two people have been charged after a weeks-long investigation led to the recovery of more than two ounces of cocaine, according to the Monroe Police Department.

On April 3, detectives used a search warrant on a vehicle associated with the suspects at the Roadway Inn on Roosevelt Blvd. During the investigation, officers found more than two ounces of cocaine, officials said.

Courtney Daniel Massey, 44, was charged with trafficking cocaine and felony maintaining a vehicle for the purpose of selling a controlled substance. Sharenda Lenne Massey, 43, was charged with trafficking cocaine and felony possession of a controlled substance inside a jail facility.

Arrest records show both Courtney and Sharenda posted bonds of $50,000 and $75,000, respectively…
