Family-owned Gouda’s Kitchen retires food truck for permanent Charlotte restaurant

Family-owned restaurant Gouda’s Kitchen officially retired its food truck for a permanent storefront on Brookshire Boulevard on Saturday, April 4.

Known for its loaded fries, whether smothered in barbecue jerk chicken or fried chicken mac and cheese, the restaurant has adopted a cashless takeout-only model.

With the consistent location comes new menu items, such as loaded salads and hot dogs with toppings including Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, grilled peppers and sautéed onions. The restaurant will also offer a Soul Food Sunday menu on select weekends…
