Man dead after being struck by 2 cars in southeast Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man is dead after being struck by two vehicles early Saturday morning on East Independence Boulevard, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.

Christopher John Schea, 54, was crossing the 7600 block of East Independence Boulevard from north to south around 12:08 a.m. when he was hit by a Toyota Camry, driven by Breayonna Da’Shawn West-Moore, 27, and then by a Toyota Corolla, driven by Robert Gregory Carroll, 30. Both drivers were traveling east at the time, according to CMPD.

Medic responded and pronounced Schea dead at the scene…
