CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have identified two men, who are twin brothers, who have been arrested in connection with a frightened horse that was running loose in Uptown before being struck by a vehicle last week.
According to CMPD, Deven Moore and Desmon Moore were taken into custody following the April 3 incident. Both face charges, including disorderly conduct and resisting a public officer.
The arrests stem from an incident that began around 11:45 p.m. last Friday near East 7th Street. Viral video shows two men riding horses through Uptown when one rider — a man separate from the Moores — falls off, sending the horse running loose. About a block later, at the intersection of North College Street and East 7th Street, the horse was struck by a passing vehicle.
