CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A cold front moves through this weekend, bringing cooler, more seasonable temperatures for early next week. After several days of near-90° heat, the change will be noticeable.
But here’s the key: This front doesn’t bring much rain.
A few spotty showers are possible (mainly in the mountains), but most locations will see little to no rainfall. That means our dry conditions won’t improve – and drought concerns are likely to worsen.
Through Saturday, we stay in a warm, dry pattern with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. Humidity will drop each afternoon, and that combination will keep fire danger elevated…
