Charlotte Plans July 4th Concert and Fireworks for Nation’s 250th Birthday

Charlotte will host a Stars and Stripes Spectacular on July 4 at Truist Field. The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra will perform. The WBT SkyShow fireworks display comes after the concert. This event marks America’s 250th anniversary, and organizers promise the biggest fireworks show in the Southeast.

Tickets start at $25. They went on sale at noon Friday at CharlotteKnights.com, though buyers can also visit the Truist Field box office or call 704-274-8282.

The symphony performance “will embrace the variety of voices, histories and traditions that have informed that great American sound over the last 250 years,” said Kwamé Ryan, music director and a Grammy Award-winning conductor, at a news conference at the stadium Thursday.
