CORNELIUS, N.C. — A grand jury has returned an indictment against a woman accused of killing a man in Cornelius earlier this month.
Makayla Hooks, 23, was indicted for murder in Mecklenburg County on Monday. The indictment moves the case to superior court and gives prosecutors a better chance for a conviction.
