‘Lost everything I own’: Harrisburg car repair shop goes in flames

HARRISBURG, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Crews contained a significant structure fire in Harrisburg Wednesday afternoon that prompted several road closures and a large emergency response.

According to the Town of Harrisburg, crews from the Harrisburg and Concord Fire Departments responded to a structure fire at 2:27 p.m. in the 9500 block of Rocky River Road, near Starwood Drive. They arrived to find heavy fire conditions.

As crews battled the blaze at the two-story building, Rocky River Road was closed at the scene due to the use of a fire hydrant, but has since reopened. Several vehicles also were on the property.

The blaze was controlled at 2:55 p.m. with 43 firefighters responding, including from the Charlotte Fire Department. No injuries were reported…
