GASTON COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Mandatory water restrictions will soon be enforced across parts of the Charlotte area as drought conditions persist.
In Gaston County, officials with Two Rivers Utilities say enforcement of the new rules will begin May 15, impacting customers in unincorporated areas and communities near Gastonia and into Clover.
Even after recent rainfall, officials say the region’s historic drought is far from over.
