NORTH CAROLINA — One person was hospitalized after a shooting in northwest Charlotte on Friday, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Police said the shooting happened on Old Forester Lane, off Mt. Holly Road. Investigators found between 30 and 40 shell casings in a backyard at the scene. A bullet hole was also visible in a window, and the backyard door was shattered.
Authorities said the victim was likely shot in Charlotte but was later taken to a hospital from an address in Huntersville. Police have not released details about how the victim got to the second location or the extent of the injuries…
