I-77 north in south Charlotte reopen after vehicle fire

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — I-77 north in south Charlotte was closed due to a vehicle fire, according to NCDOT.

Around 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, crews responded to I-77 at Exit 7 (Clanton Road) about a vehicle fire. The traffic map showed traffic backed up for about four miles due to the incident.

Medic said one person was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

According to NCDOT, the road is reopened just before 4 p.m…
